Pine tar has antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It's been known to help soothe dry, itchy and inflamed skin caused by a variety of skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, insect bites or dry winter weather.

Natural Scent: Our simple and gentle pine tar soap does not contain essential oils but does have a deep, smoky and slightly medicinal scent as a result of the pine tar.
 
Use this healing bar as you would regular body soap.
olive oil is is deeply moisturizing thanks to a high percentage of oleic acid
coconut oil can improve the moisture content of dry skin 
shea butter softens the skin, protects it from drying out and maintains elasticity
castor oil encourages healing by promoting tissue growth

More About Pine Tar
Pine tar is a sticky, resinous substance extracted from the burning of pine wood under extreme heat. Pine tar has played a role in medicinal remedies for over a thousand years, predominantly in Scandinavia but was even known as far away as Greece and was described by Hippocrates around 2000 years ago. Sailors, carpenters and baseball players may be familiar with pine tar for its more recent uses as a natural preservative that protects wood and rigging from a harsh climate or for improving grip on baseball bats.
