NovelTea is a proud, female-owned (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law team) East Coast Canadian Company based out of Truro, N.S. Established in 2014, NovelTea started as a bookstore that sold coffee and tea. In 2016 after quickly realizing that their community had a desire to enjoy their love of reading in different ways, the NovelTea team was inspiration to create and sell their own book-themed products in the cafe.
"In 2020, a devastating fire destroyed our original bookstore-cafe location, which prompted us to re-imagine the potential of the bookstore side of our business and what it could offer the book community. This is when we made the decision to open our standalone bookstore. We also realized that there are many small, independent bookstores just like us who would benefit from carrying locally made, book-themed products for their own customers.
